The construction of the *National Institute of Ophthalmology & Eye Hospital* at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka, during (2009–2010), marked a major advancement in Bangladesh’s specialized healthcare infrastructure.

Designed as a modern, 500-bed tertiary eye-care facility, the project focused on creating state-of-the-art surgical theaters, advanced diagnostic units, outpatient departments, and inpatient wards equipped to handle a high volume of patients.

The building incorporated contemporary medical architecture with emphasis on patient flow, infection control, natural lighting, and energy-efficient systems.
